Organized in collaboration with Fearless Art and the Royal Artistic Circle of Spain, the exhibition presented more than twenty works associated with four artists: Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, John Clark and Alberto Carrera. Watercolors, prints, oil paintings and mixed-media works explored Spanish street scenes, ports, Mediterranean fish, still lifes and portraits.

The exhibition also included abstract and nature-inspired works, alongside sculptures by Kim Sung Bok, Jang Sung Jae, Kim Byung Kyu, Yang Tae Geun, Daniel Arsham and Banksy Lven, as listed in the exhibition materials.

We sincerely thank the Korean sculptors and the Chinese gallery for bringing this exhibition to a successful conclusion during the difficult pandemic period.

Salvador Dalí (11 May 1904 – 23 January 1989) was a Spanish Catalan artist born in Figueres, known for his Surrealist work and extraordinary imagination. His unsettling, dreamlike imagery combines precise draftsmanship with techniques influenced by Renaissance masters. His unconventional public persona became inseparable from the reception of his art.
Works discussed in the exhibition materials include The Persistence of Memory, Un Chien Andalou and Premonition of Civil War. Dalí made a major contribution to Surrealism and twentieth-century art by giving dreams a precise and compelling visual form.

Pablo Picasso (25 October 1881 – 8 April 1973) was a Spanish painter and sculptor and a central figure in modern art. His extensive and innovative work helped shape twentieth-century visual culture. Major works include Guernica, Dove of Peace, Les Demoiselles d’Avignon and La Vie.

Alberto Carrera (1952–2016) was born in Huesca in northern Spain and lived in Barcelona. His paintings read as a visual diary of his emotional relationship with the world. Their portraits, gestures and layered imagery combine energy with reflection on tragedy, compassion and human existence.
Selected exhibitions mentioned in the exhibition materials include “Time Is Also Color” at Goya in 2015, “The Color of the Night” at Villahermosa Palace in 2013, “Role” at Maria Jesus Gallery in 2011, and an exhibition at the national gallery in Dakar, Senegal, in 2008.

John Clarke graduated from the Ruskin School of Fine Art at Oxford University in 1986. He subsequently worked in sculpture, taught at art colleges and worked in galleries before spending five years as an art director at Sony. He continued painting throughout this period and returned to full-time independent painting in 2010.
Since 2015, Clarke has exhibited in London, New York, Bristol and Cambridge, including at the Royal Academy of Arts. His activities have included public presentations, art fairs and media features. His paintings use simplified figures, imagery and allegory to explore the psychological conditions of contemporary working life. Contrasts between crowded figures and isolated forms suggest stillness, loneliness and uncertainty.

These four Korean artists have participated in numerous exhibitions in Korea. Their predominantly stainless steel sculptures joined this exhibition as a tribute to the masters.
